This is an application - it is NOT - an agreement to adopt a an animal. A phone interview, vet reference check, and a home/fence check if applicable will follow in most cases. When you and the right dog find each other, a placement contract will need to be signed. We are all volunteers - not paid employees - who spend countless hours helping homeless animals find loving homes. Our animals are brought up-to-date on vaccines and spayed/neutered (except in rare cases when age or health makes that impossible) prior to adoption. At the time of adoption there is a requested donation of $75.00. IT IS IMPORTANT TO US THAT OUR DOGS ARE PLACED IN NEW HOMES WHERE THEY HAVE EVERY OPPORTUNITY TO SUCCEED AND LIVE WELL INTO OLD AGE. The information submitted on this application is confidential and will be used only for the purpose of matching rescued animals with new owners. Pet ownership is a serious commitment that the entire household needs to consider and agree to before the animal is adopted. We want to ensure that each adoptive household is aware of, and willing and able to accept, the physical and financial responsibilities of pet ownership. Not everyone who desires to own a pet is ready to properly care for one. This questionnaire will assist both you and us in determining if your household is prepared to assume the role of responsible caretaker for a rescued animal. Thank you for filling it out! If you wish, you may expand on your answers in the comments section at the bottom of the form. |
