Our Mission

To decrease the number of homeless animals that are euthanized, therefore increasing the percentage of animals lives "saved" in our City Shelter.

To improve the living conditions and health of the homeless cats and dogs in our City Shelter that are awaiting new homes.

To create a positive community atmosphere for Maumelle citizens and their pets.

Maumelle Friends of the Animals "MFOA" was started in 1992.

Programs Supported by MFOA:

  • Shelter Spay/Neuter Clinic
  • Free/assisted Spay/Neuter Program
  • Financial Assistance Program for Senior Citizen Pet Ownership
  • Veterinary Services for our Shelter Animals
  • Community Dog Park "Four Paws Park"

How do we get our funding to support these programs?

  • MFOA organizes many fund-raising events. The main one being Possum Ball.
  • The rest of our funds are received through individual donations and adoption fees.
